Yes indeed some people are allergic to pollen such as in hay fever. This was one of our top priority consideration in the development of this biopolymer as a medical device. It is known that the allergic reactions are caused by proteins and lipids that are present as allergen in the center core of the pollen. Hence we have intentionally removed all cytoplasmic content in the pollen during our proprietary processing. The final end product of the biopolymer has further undergone “Materials-mediated pyrogen test” as per ISO 10993-1, 10993-2, 10993-11, 10993-12 and United States Pharmacopeia USP Chapter 15 to validate that there is no more allergens in the finished product.
